Welcome back!!! It was so great to see (almost) everyone's smiling face today. I felt especially blessed when I was greeted with a hug and, "I missed you." That made my day. Of course there were some moans and groans this morning as we get back into our routine, but overall today was a great first day of 2013, and I feel very blessed to work with all of my students.
Students used base ten blocks to build. Then they practiced adding and subtracting 10 and 100 from the value of the blocks.
The second grade is going to the Louisivlle Ballet to see The Nutcracker on December 13th. Permission slips will go home Tuesday, Nov. 13th. Please return your permission slip by December 3rd. So far, so good. We are learning the routines and getting into the groove. First homework packets went home today. Tomorrow is the first day for Take Home Tuesday. Mrs. McKinley is going to talk to them about the library and they can start checking out books.
